LAMCAR is nothing more than an acronym to describe the region of our responsibilities as Overseas Ministries Coordinators. My name is Dan Clowers and my wife is Brenda. We are missionaries with World Missions Ministries (WMM) of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC). We have served as missionaries with WMM for
twenty years of which eight have been as the Coordinator for the field. What a blessing and awesome responsibility to be a partner with the many other missionaries that work in our region. LAMCAR (Latin AMerica CARibbean) has some of the greatest opportunities for ministry as we work along side powerful churches that are taking their place in the end time harvest. the LAMCAR region extends from Mexico down to Buenos Aires and also includes the Caribbean and West Indies. It is divided into three zones, Mexico and Central America Zone, South America Zone, and then the Caribbean Zone.
While I serve in somewhat of a pastoral role I also have to deal with legal affairs of the church at times along with any other problems that may arise among the leaders or missionaries. It's very much like the new testament church and has it's excitement and pressures like any other job. I thank the Lord that he has blessed us with helpers to work in the LAMCAR region. I have Regional Ministry Coordinators in each Zone that help as my assistants in working in theses areas.
My wife Brenda is the Team Evangelism And Missions Service (TEAMS) Coordinator for WMM. So far this year we have had over fifty teams go out from the U.S. on short term ministry trips. Medical, Drama, preaching and construction. No one who goes on a TEAMS trip returns the same. Brenda also seems to get into situations at times that makes her realize that God is watching over her. She has always said, "If God intends on using me tomorrow, no devil in hell can stop me today." That is so true! Praise the Lord
