A TIME OF HEALING

My new year started out great and one of the things that the Lord allowed me was a time of healing. Let me explain. For several years I have suffered from a bad knee injury I got in an auto accident in 2001. I have a nine inch metal plate and screws that have stayed with me since the wreck along with having a bone graph all of which has left a lot of scar tissue and arthritis to deal with. I just have taken it in stride and thanked the Lord I could still walk and am alive. When we moved to Peru the pain was made worse due to having to climb the stairs in thebuilding. After two rough years of this I finally went and had it checked out and found out I had some damage that needed to be repaired. Two bad torn cartilages and some loose bone fragments that were giving me the problem needed to be dealt with. We scheduled the surgery and it went well the doctor fixed all he could and I started a period of therapy to help in the recovery. The time that we had in the states for this was a great blessing. You may say well why didn't God just heal you....I don't know why, if you mean by that an instant healing. However he has given me a body that is wonderfully made in his image and it has a miraculous way of healing on its own. I still say it is God who has healed me. Thanks to all of you who prayed for me during this time.
