Brenda and I traveled to Panama City, Panama to officially welcome them to our missionary family Jonathan & Elishya Cook. I wanted to introduce them to our leaders in the conference. What a great time we had getting to travel with Jonathan and then later be with Elishya and their two daughters in a special dinner with Cecilio and Maison Cigarruista, our conference Supt. and wife.
We had the privilege to also take them to meet the pastors of the new Kuna Yala Tribe church just outside the city near the Bridge of the Americas. I could see a connection take place as hearts were knit together and plans of future ministry were planned. We will be sending a team this year to help in the ministry of the new work. Our prayers are with the Cooks as God uses them mightily in the Kingdom of God in the Panama work.
